Born in Mexico. Laura’s family immigrated to the USA when she was 1 year old.

Her elementary and high schools were attended in Chicago, Il. In 1982, Laura graduated from Boston University with a BSBA degree.

In 1984, while living in Saudi Arabia, Laura enrolled in oil painting workshops.

After five years in Saudi Arabia, Laura and her family immigrated to Montreal, Canada.

In 1994 Laura formalized her art education by attending the Fine Arts program at John Abbott College in Ste. Anne- de-Bellevue, Qc. Canada. She was nominated to the Academic Honour Roll throughout her years at John Abbott College.

During the 15 years in Canada Laura focused on exploring different mediums. Some of these mediums included oil pastels, dry pastels, acrylics, encaustic and oil paints..

She has been living in New Jersey for the past 15 years. This has been the time of learning the ability to see through abstract and expressionism art.

She has over 25 years of studio artwork experience in the U.S and Canada.

Laura has attended The Art Students League since 2005 where she studied under Michael Burban (anatomy) and William Scharf (abstract forms with color fields).

She has also studied printmaking under Richard Pantell (ASL in NYC) and Vijay Kumar (NJCVA) New Jersey) . She continues to study under Micheal Pellettieri(Printmaking) at the ASL, while attending various workshops that focus on oil painting manipulation and color mixing.
